Library at a Glance

Arts, Commerce and Science college library is established in 1995. It has contributed substantially to the overall development of the college in accordance with the principles set by our parent institution “Sarvoday Shikshan Shanstha”.

Our Library is Information and Knowledge centre in the College. Various  sources information and knowledge are available for the students, teacher and society users. It is centre of academic activities enriched with reference books, text books, various subject periodicals. News papers (Local and National) . C.D. ROM  and Computer assisted Knowledge gaining sources like internet etc.

Our library is established  in 1995.It has contributed substantially to the overall development of the college in accordance with the principles set  by our parent institution Sarvoday Shikshan Shansha.  Moreover library provide various services namely circulation services, library reading  and periodical hall, reference services, internet services, inter library lone services, news paper clipping services, zeroxing services, book bank services etc. Interested reader are awarded with attractive prizes.

LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The college library is governed by LAC. Every year the college constitutes the Library Committee for its smooth functioning. The main objective of the Library Committee is to decide and adopt policies for the library services and programmes of the library. The principal of the college is the president of the committee. (Dr.) V. R. Patil is the chairman of the committee where as the librarian is the secretary. The committee consist of seven members include principal, HOD’s and faculty of the various department of the college.
The committee members discuss issues like library administrations, library development, library services and policy decisions and also they give suggestions for the improvement of the library services, collections and development of the library.

VISION
 

  • To provide a student-centred learning environment that facilitates transference of information and to cater to the needs of its users to access it.
  • To augment and maintain collections in support of the academic pursuits of the Colleges.
  • To provide well-equipped and functional physical spaces where students can pursue learning independently beyond the classroom.

Library Rules and Regulations

  1. User Carry their ID card for use of the Library facility.
  2. Register to become a library member before using resources.
  3. Remove shoes before entering the library.
  4. Sign in at the entrance register before entering the library.
  5. Maintain silence in the library
  6. Strictly no mobile phones or headphones in the library.
  7. Handle books and reading materials with carefully.
  8. Use newspapers and journals only in the library section.
  9. Library cards are non-transferable; borrowers are responsible for borrowed books.
  10. Check issued books for missing pages; report any issues before leaving the counter.
  11. Marking or damaging library books is serious; the last reader is accountable unless damage is reported during issue.
  12. If a book is lost or damaged, the last reader must compensate for the damage or pay the current book price if it can’t be replaced.
  13. Return books on time; fines apply for overdue returns.
  14. Report lost library cards immediately; obtain a Duplicate Library Card (DLC) for Rs. 10.
  15. Obtain a no dues certificate after returning books, clearing dues, and submitting the library card.

Note: Violation of these rules will call for punitive action against the user.
